Coming out of lockdown I needed to reintroduce my horse to the schooling environment, where he has struggled historically with large groups.
I booked onto a pole work session with Ellie Balian at Spurlands End, knowing there would only be two of us in the school.
The location was very quiet Ellie is lovely, very calm and a confidence builder.
My horse and I were apprehensive to start but after a period of time checking out the scary items in the school, it wasn't long before we were enjoying ourselves.
It was hard work but I felt we made progress. My second lesson has been even better, achieving control that I didn't think was possible.
