Janet Bayley is once again organising a fantastic trail ride for NRC. Two Chiltern woodland rides are available with spectacular views of the South Berkshire Downs. The scenery is especially beautiful this time of the year with the bluebells in full bloom!

There are two routes to choose from: a marked, 5.5 mile pleasure ride or an 8.5 mile competitive ride  will be run as a competitive /timed ride which will require map reading. Both rides will gain you Sommerhalder points.  Riders usually ride in pairs. If you are coming alone, do let us know and we will try and partner you up.

This ride is organised in aid of Air Ambulance and in memory of Diana Younger. Our grateful thanks to Rachel Wallis, the landowner, for hosting us.

Start time: 10.00am onwards.

Riders to be 18 years and over

Cost: £20 for NRC members. £25 for BHS Gold members and riders of other affiliated Riding Clubs (max of 30 places available so book in early).

Please note : this ride is open to NRC members, members of other affiliated RCs and BHS Gold / Harry Hall / or equivalent rider insurance. No under 18s.

'Super-Alan' the photographer will be there and marshalls along the route (thank you to all our volunteers).

Refreshments will be provided at the end of the ride, Jennie's cakes are not to be missed!!

Rosettes will be awarded to competitors completing the trail in the optimum time 4.4 mph to 7.5mph

Entries Close  – Thursday 20 April 2022 (or earlier if places filled)

If you would like to take part, please purchase your ticket via this page. If you are eligible to support your donation with Gift Aid, Janet will have declaration forms for completion when you arrive at the venue. Alternatively, email her on and she will email a form back.
