CANCELLED - SUMMER SOLSTICE FUN RIDE & Afternoon Tea

We have had very few entries for the ride at Kensham this Sunday 19th June so we have decided to postpone the ride for a week and it will now take place on Sunday 26th June at 3pm.

If you have entered and cannot make the new date please let us know as soon as possible and we will arrange a refund.

Hopefully we will have a lot more riders for the 26th and will be able to offer a cream tea and cake at the end of the ride.

Mary Hilder is arranging another great ride for NRC members.

£12 per rider / £15 for non-members. Please note, non-members must hold valid BHS Gold insurance or equivalent and send details of their cover to Mary Hilder prior to the event in order to attend the ride. 

The Kensham route is largely along tracks, with a very short stretch of road work, around a working farm situated amongst The Chiltern Hills. 15 km ride with shorter options. Quite apart from stunning views, the route includes some quite significant hills (good for fitness training), some nice canters and a few stony tracks.

The ride will be followed by Jenny Bowie’s amazing tea and cakes.

For riders, we'll be setting out from 3 pm for a routed ride around Kensham Farms. You can either join a group or form your own (just let us know when you buy your tickets). This ride will be just under 5 miles, all off-road.

For those on foot, afternoon tea will start from 4 pm, but you're welcome to enjoy a shorter version of the ridden route (well-behaved dogs are also welcome!).

Afternoon tea includes tea or coffee, sandwiches, cakes and scones.

This will be a great chance to meet club committee representatives and your fellow members.

So bring your picnic blankets, folding chairs etc. and keep your fingers crossed for fine weather!
