CANCELLED - FORAGING WORKSHOP

Following on from our popular massage techniques workshop with Jo, we are delighted to be working with her again to offer an unmounted foraging workshop for NRC members only. 

Many of you know Jo already but a brief introduction and overview below :

Jo has almost 20 years experience in equine therapy, and prior to that was a BHS intermediate trainer in Sussex. She runs regular training courses for those who want to qualify in animal therapies and for those already qualified, but want to update or add to their skills. This workshop session will run for 3 hours and provide an introduction to the common hedgerow plants and trees that may be beneficial to our horses, and will go over the best ways to offer this to them. Foraging alongside Jo at her farm in Emmington. Refreshments will be provided. Max 15 attendees. 

Wild animals will innately support their health and well-being needs by self medicating though selections of the herbs, hedgerow, trees, shrubs, soil, clay and mosses that are local to them.  This has been observed in many wild studies. This ability enables animals to maintain health through maintaining a balanced gut, and through improving health through selections that may support functions such as tissue repair, anti-inflammatory and detoxification, plus potentially support for emotion health. Our domesticated animals also have this ability if provided access to our native hedgerow and field herbs. It promises to be a fascinating and educational morning.
