Teams

Riding Club Team Competitions are available to individuals and teams of riders that belong to an affiliated riding club such as Naphill Riding Club. They are held in all areas of the country and give riders the opportunity to qualify for a variety of National Riding Club Championships. Naphill Riding Club sits in Area 6.

There are a wide range of disciplines offered, including:

  • One Day Events
  • Show jumping
  • Hunter Trials
  • Dressage
  • Dressage to Music

These events cater for Riders of all ages and abilities and are great fun, so why not come and have a go!

If you are interested in taking part in any of the team competitions listed above you must be a fully paid up member of Naphill Riding Club and must not have ridden for another club team this season. The Riding Club season runs from April to April.

All horses must be fully vaccinated against flu and tetanus to comply with British Riding Club rules and there maybe limitations on horse and/or rider for some classes in competitions. Therefore please check with the team manager and advise of any points that you or your horse may have before entering.

Teams entries have to be registered with a prelim entry to the British riding clubs office 3 weeks before the closing date of the event; therefore we need your commitment often 4 to 5 weeks before the event takes place.

The Riding Club holding the event will always ask the club to nominate at least one helper per team entered. If we do not provide a helper, we are unable to send our team; therefore if anyone is interested in helping at any team event , such as fence judging please let Alison know (contact details below)

Details on all point limitations, tack summary and vaccination rules can be found on the BHS website:http://www.bhs.org.uk/Riding/British_Riding_Clubs/BRC_Rulebook/Appendices_1_to_23.aspx

For British Riding Club rules please see the following link http://www.bhs.org.uk/Riding/British_Riding_Clubs/BRC_Rulebook.aspx

The rules are revised on an annual basis and come into effect from 1 January every year. The Rulebook contains all the information you need to know to compete in official Riding Club competitions, including what you and your horse are allowed to wear, eligibility criteria and rules for all the different championships

Please contact our team managers further details.
